    Nursery Rhymes

A few weeks ago Dee and I went to the Library on the way home from school.

She got a great Nursery Games book called "peek-a-Boo!". Some of them I had heard before, others not.

    Car is written off :(

My poor car is written off. I am so sad, and so depressed.

It's market value is only $17500 - we only got it 3 years ago for just under $40k!!!! So we still owe more than $20k on it! We will STILL have to pay whatever is left over to the finance people. That sux. I am so so so shitty.

Dad and I had to go to the wreckers and get everythign out of the car *sigh* My beautiful 7 seater car gone........ what am i gonna do without it!!

    Luny Luna!

The kids were suitably impressed with the luna eclipse last night. We even got poppa down here with his telescope. A telescope he bought 12months ago that was still in the box! So he and Mark spent a rushed time TRYING to get it together so that we could look at the moon more closely.

They got it up and running - sorta, but poor dad couldnt find the moon and the telescope kept moving as he'd brush past with his big tummy! LOL!

CJ found it a few times and loved it. The other 2 tried to look through it but didnt find the moon. Here they are looking at it just normally - that tiny dot in the sky is the moon! Doesn't look too red in this one! LOL

THis is their impression of a luna eclipse.....

Ceilidh - What is a luna eclipse?
A luna eclipse happens once every 7 years by making a shadow over the moon and the sun refecting off the earth makes it turn red from the reflection. It starts as a cresent but then it goes to the full moon and then back out again. I will be 15 the next time there is a luna eclipse!

Connor - What is a luna eclipse?
It gets a little bit of white on it and then the luna eclipse happens and makes it turn red. When the moon fully turns red the sun 'ejects' the red and it gets even redder. And the earth is in line with the sun and the moon and the earth.

Darcy - What is a luna eclipse?
The moon was white and turned to red!

    WOE IS ME!

Time for a 'woe is me' post!

I'm so bloody exhausted. I truly do no know how people work full time and come home to a family and all that as well!

Lastweek my review meetings and reports have been due. So all week, EVERY DAY Ive had meetings with parents, counsellors, principals, year advisors, careers advisors - you name it - Ive met them and had to run the meetings, then all the minutes and follow up papers that go with it.

Add the extra work to the fact that Ive got new kids at dancing, so lessons are full on at the moment - 3 nights/days a week!!

Friday I had a dental appointment in the morning, I really want to call and cancel, but its with the dental clinic and its taken me 3 months to get the appointment and they extracted the tooth - a yucky wisdom tooth up the back! Then I went straight into work again for the afternoon, then I had to race to Westfields Liverpool to do a mystery shopping job then take the kids to dancing!

Then Saturday 9.30-10.30 teaching, 12-1.30 birthday party at maccas for cjs friend then a friend sleeping over (which worked out really well as the kids left me alone - except that the studio looked like a bomb hit it!)

Sunday - fundraising event with the dancing association and on the way home I bloody crashed my car. Into the back of another stationary car. There had been a motorbike accident and I glanced over at it because there was a man lying on the road in obvious bad shape. I glance back at the front and WHAM  - car in front had stopped and gotten out of car to assist the motorbike man. His car written off - my car front of car kaput. Gotta call the insurance people today.

Thankfully only CJ with me and she was sitting in the back of the car. She is all shook up but other than that is fine.

And this week I have to organise Dee's party. I was going to make the cake but think I will buy it now, too tired to think straight!

Ok - enough of my whinging!!!

    Bookweek

    Book week was last week.

Monday was 'book parade' at school. Ceilidh went as Hermonie and Connor as Harry! They loved it!

Then Wednesday I took them to the bookfair on after school and they got to choose one book each to buy.

Friday afternoon Connor very excitedly told me that he won an award for book week. He won the Kindy drawing competition! He drew a picture of him in the library reading Harry Potter. I can't wait to see the drawing, will have to make a visit to the library to see it! He received a book as a prize for that.

Here are some pix of the kids on dress up day.

    SHOPPING FOR THE PERFECT BARBIE

A father goes shopping for his daughters birthday present.
He is in a toy shop and asks "How much for one of those Barbies in the
    display window?"

The salesperson answers, "Which one do you mean, sir? We have: Work Out
Barbie for $19.95.Shopping Barbie for $19.95.Beach Barbie for
    $19.95.Disco Barbie for $19.95.Ballerina Barbie for $19.95.Astronaut
Barbie for $19.95.Skater Barbie for $19.95 or Divorced Barbie for
    $265.95 ....

The amazed father asks: "What?! Why is the Divorced Barbie $265.95 and
    the others only $19.95?"

The annoyed salesperson rolls her eyes, sighs, and answers:

"Sir.., Divorced Barbie comes with: Ken's Car, Ken's House, Ken's dog,
Ken's Boat, Ken's Furniture, Ken's Computer and one of Ken's
    Friends..."

    The Family of Movie Stars!!

On Friday last week Connor had more shooting for Raggs. When they emailed me to ask if he would like to do it they asked 'would he like to bring a friend?' I said 'May he bring two?' And they said 'yes, so I asked Brodie and Kaiesha' They had an age range on it - 4.5 - 7. So although I really wanted CJ and Dee to be able to go on it I thought 'oh, they too old/young.'

But on the day I took them anyway because we were going straight to dancing afterwards. CJ was wearing her funky jeans, but her hair was in her bun from school (actually dancing the night before!) and Dee was not dolled up at all.

Well, it came to filming time, we were there at Centenial Gardens, we had signed the 'release forms' and the man says 'Ok, if you kids wanna be on tv, come here.' CJ looked at me and said "Can I mum?'' I said 'ahh - go for it, if they say you too big you just come back.' So off she ran with Brodie, Connor and Kaiesha, and who ran after them - DEEDEE!!

Well - it now begins. Connor was in a contrary mood and wasn't behaving greatly, infact he was being a little s***. But Ceilidh and Darcy were GREAT!! CJ got chosen for smaller group shots (with Bro) and Dee was amazing. At 2 she was doing what all the big kids were doing, better in fact than many! Kids would run off to their parents for drinks, or because they were tired - but not Dee. She was doing everything the choreographer said!! AMAZING!!!!

Then we saw some baby duckings and goslings and signets in the lake!

I can't WAIT until it comes out in December!!!!!!!!!!

    Dancing Decision

Well I definately made the right decision regarding changing CJ over for dancing.  At the start of last year I was told be Miss DH that 'Ceilidh will always have to do jazz, she just has no idea how to move her body.' Well 2 terms at RG and man, she is WORKING IT! Nothing like the top RG dancers, but compared to what she did before - oh my! Things are sharp and strong and she IS MOVING HER BODY! She doesn't enjoy ballet (never did at H either), but Ive told her that she has no choice until she is 12. If she still hates it then, she can stop. She keeps saying to Mum, Dad and Me 'I DONT WANT TO BE A BALLERINA LIKE CASEY, I DONT NEED TO DO BALLET!' Ooooh yes you DO missy!

And she is so excited about the concert, they are encouraged to take cd's in so that the teacher can burn the music for them. Plus they write down the steps into their dance journals for them too. (Dance journals which are checked and commented on.)

Meanwhile, Con at his private on Sat did his dance topless, and Miss J loved it, but when it came time for him to go in and show Miss R he was all embarrassed and hunching his shoulders. What a shame he wont let those little muscles ripple!LOL Apparently his tap troupe for the concert is 'the alien dance' HUH??

And Dee just loves it all!! Constantly gets up to show us all what she knows!!

Casey - dont give up your day job!

Case was very bored the other day. So bored she rang me and whinged about how bored she was!!! RIght on the last episode of Greys Anatomy!!!

Anyway, got up the next morning and she had sent the following picture - with the text below....

    I shant comment............................................

OMG i'm the cleverest in the world!
Yes, u read correctly... i'm cleverest in the world and wait till u see why!
    I AM AN ARTISTIC GENIUS

    HA
i got bored so i drew this!
    i'm so proud!

    KCW

NOW! Since blogging this and sticking it in my 'drafts' folder. Peta has done the  FUNNIEST BLOG about the same thing!! I will put a trackback to Peetie's but also copy/paste it here!!!

......I'm gonna quickly post this before Casey does...

She thinks she is so marvellous, making this drawing.

I asked her why we're all so hugely fat and she's not!!!!!!!!!  And check out the size of Justine & my heads in comparrison to Dad's head?  Why does he get to have a little heaad?  And WHY is my nose bigger than his???  He is also known as Gonzo... say no more!  I don't have any secret nickname (that i'm aware of) which points out how honking my nose is!!!  And I love the way my neck is as big as my fat cheeks, and Justine apparently has gone all rusty on us and has dreadlocks.  Poor mum has no defining shape at all and there's something seriously wrong with one eye!  I must also point out the detail of dad's belt buckle (i didn't get earrings but dad got a belt buckle?) and Casey's pockets, which on first glance, really do look like they're outlining her boobies.

And there's Casey, with her tiny head, and her perfectly curly (permed) hair, and her little nose and her top which apparently has the measles!

ADDED EXTRA'S AFTER RE-EVALUATION, MANY MISERLY THOUGHTS TOWARDS THE YOUNGER SISTER AND COMMENTS FROM OTHER INJURED PARTIES AND INNOCENT BYSTANDERS WHO MAY BE THE NEXT TO FACE HER WRATH:

Upon reflection, i can't really understand why she decided to give Dad a belt buckle AT ALL!  I mean, there is no visable belt buckle in the original photograph... maybe she's over compensating because she gave him a Hitler moustashe... i think you've been in Germany too long now sunshine!  It's affecting your mind... time to come home!

And you can tell that I take after Dad... check out our lopsided mouths!  And Case and Jus obviously take after mum mouth wise as well.  Although it's not obvious who's face Justine inherited with those golf ball cheeks.  Perhaps Casey can grace us with a lovely portrait of our grandparents next so we can compare?

Honestly, her boobie/nipple/pockets have to go!  It's obscene!  Children and father's are looking at this website!

(pretty funny picture - LOVE IT)

    Sunday Lunch

last Sunday was a beautiful Sunny day (unlike today which is raining and pouring) and so we went out to Panarotti's at Mac Square for lunch. We met up with the Toa Tribe. We spent about 4 hours there. it was really great!!!

Here is a not so good picture of the children (except for Connor, he had his gameboy). There was a boy that Leilani and CJ were playing with. He was 8 and from Wollongong and in Leilani's words 'he liked Ceilidh!!!!' ROFL!!!!

    Blues Clues

Ceilidh used to love BC (she still does!) Connor enjoyed it but wasn't obsessed with it.

Darcy is obsessed, just like CJ was. I had to go out and buy her a 'handy dandy notebook' (when CJ was little you could actually get the blues clues one! Dee just has a spiral notepad). Everytime BC comes one she runs to get her notebook and sits in front of the  tele to write her clues in!

She answers the Steve/Joe when they ask questions and laughs at the funny things!

    It is soooo cute!!

At the moment she is lying on the lounge, in front of the tv singing along to some 'yeahaa my shoe is tied' song with her notebook and her pink texta in front of her!!!

What this song says is what I felt when I was dancing. I just wish I had been good enough to cut it. Even if I had gone to the BEST dancing and drama schools in the world, I would never have made it professionally. All heart and not enough talent *violin playing*. But I still get very worked up when I see/hear good dance and theatre. That's why Sal and I bawled our eyes out 15 years ago watching Blood Brothers, and the same with Miss Saigon. Its why I went and watched Moulin Rouge 12 times at the movies. It takes me away and makes me feel...............  well - the song below sums it up perfectly. And then the boys performing it - well - it's just magic! Bring on November !!

The lyrics from the song 'Electricity' in the Billy Elliot musical. The clip is the 4 Aussie boys performing it, their first performance since theyve been cast as the Billy's. I can't wait until it opens. I really and truly cant wait... Nick is the one who sings first, he is from RG. The one who sings second is Ramian - he played Little Peter in Boy from Oz. The one that does the fouttes (sp?) at the end is Rhys, and finally, Lachie, who comes from a coalmining family in Newcastle here! How is that for art imitating life!

    I can't really explain it,
    I haven't got the words
    It's a feeling that you can't control
I suppose it's like forgetting, losing who you are
And at the same time something makes you whole
It's like that there's a music playing in your ear
And I'm listening, and I'm listening and then I disappear

And then I feel a change
    Like a fire deep inside
Something bursting me wide open impossible to hide
And suddenly I'm flying, flying like a bird
    Like electricity, electricity
    Sparks inside of me
    And I'm free I'm free

It's a bit like being angry,
it's a bit like being scared
Confused and all mixed up and mad as hell
It's like when you've been crying
And you're empty and you're full
I don't know what it is, it's hard to tell
It's like that there's a music playing in your ear
But the music is impossible, impossible to hear
But then I feel it move me
    Like a burning deep inside
Something bursting me wide open impossible to hide
And suddenly I'm flying, flying like a bird
    Like electricity, electricity
    Sparks inside of me
    And I'm free I'm free
    Electricity, sparks inside of me
    And I'm free, I'm free
    I'm free. Free I'm free

    A tip from Simple Savings......

I subscribe to an e-newsletter from simplesavings.com.au. It has good tips in it. Some are just silly but then you get good ones, like the one below.........

    HALF PRICE THE DAY BEFORE

Some large department stores unofficially mark down their catalogue items the
afternoon before the big sale day. I discovered this by accident when I
ventured into Big W at 3.30pm on a Wednesday afternoon thinking it was the
first day of their sale. I had my eye on a Fisher Price phone for my one year
old that was advertised as half price. When I noticed the phone was still
marked with the normal price the sales assistant said the sale didn’t start
until Thursday, but then said that on a Wednesday after 3.30pm the systems
change over so the catalogue items for the following day come on sale. She
scanned the toy and, sure enough, it was already marked down and I was able
to purchase it at half price!

The following afternoon when I returned to Big W the item was sold out. So if
you have your eye on something special that may sell out quickly it pays to
get in ahead of the crowds!

    My child of God....

Ceilidh came racing out to the car Monday arvo waving a merit award from school saying 'Mum, are you proud of me!?' I said 'Oh yes Ceilidh, wonderful, what did you get it for?'

I looked and then I buried my head in my hands and laughed until I cried!

What did she get it for?? Scripture of course!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good to know the $15000 worth of school fees at the Christian School have paid off over in the Government System! LOL

    Connor and school.

Well Master Griff's behaviour is going down-hill at school. I think it's because he feels so comfortable there and knows everyone - so he's being silly.

No detention or anything (yet!) but he has been kicked out of infants dance-group...... UMAH!!!

He hasnt' been put on 'Sally Sad-Face' yet......
