Xox April 28 Last Day Of The Hols..Boohhoooo! Today is the last day of the holidays. And of course, do I get to sleep in? NO! Con has to be at Ingleburn for a dental appointment at 8.30am - WHAT WAS I THINKING??? IDIOT MWAH!!!!
Dee is off on a date so it will just be the older 2 I will have to get up and out of the house. At least we will then get the full day together. i really should put the bikes on the back of the car and we could go up to the park.. MIght even do that if Im organised enough in the morn. Might head up to Plough and Harrow for the morn> We're likely to be out of Ingleburn by 9am....
Then back to work Tues.d... Have done no school work all hols as my computer is still kaput and all my files on are there..
Cough is still shocking and migranes have joined it - so it has been a lovely couple of days - NOT! April 27 WOOHOO JACK WON!!!!!!!!!Im so excited! Jack won!!! He soooo deserved to! He was brilliant! And he got to meet Hugh Jackman backstage at the ROVE afterparty! LOL!!!!!
And mum - did u see how short Jack was next to Rove?? OMG!! I knew he was short - but he's a real shorty! Just like Brady at RG! Lol!
So glad to see all my money on votes this week worked well!! And so glad to see it was the two boys left as the final two!!!
What a great finale! Im still on cloud 9!
April 25 anzac day!We've had a wonderful day - albeit very busy!
Please excuse any really stupid speling mistakes. Ive had 2 migranes so far today, and my eyes are still wonky.
First of all out to Ctown for Connor's jazz eisteddfod - he got SECOND! I was so proud -the section was 6 years, which is VERY different from 5 years. And he danced really well!!
Then we grabbed Leilani (as Kaiesha was on for 5s in the afternoon) and we took Leilani out with us to the march.
The kids looked wonderful, and had a marvelous time. I did blog from my phone, but theyve not come through yet - like they didnt on HSM day.
I hpe they do soon.
I have to go and have a bath whilst kids are eating so that I can try and get rid of headache April 24 Handstands! Before we went to Qld I was trying to explain to CJ how I used to be able to do handstands on the back of the door of my bedroom,and she should try (as she's been trying to do handstands). She whinged and moaned and said she couldn't do it - but she kept persevering whilst we were up at Qld. And she got it! (Mostly because Connor got it, so she made herself!)
So now - we handstand everywhere. On walls that we shouldn't too! She is even now trying to do tricks whilst standing upside down.
Im very happy for her! Putting her back into the beginners acro class was the best thing I could have done. I did it because it was the only acro class that she could attend, all the others didnt fit into our RG timetable. So she had to do the babys/prejunior class with Connor and Darcy. The great thing about this was it was really back to basics, as they were teaching the little ones. And after one term she can now DO a cartwheel and DO a handstand. Something that didnt happen after one year of the 'junior class' last year. She is even working on a back walkover.
Connor's cartwheels are awesome now. He can do one handed ones and round offs and is trying one handed handstands. Oh and his 'billy elliot cartwheels' which are th ones off a piano, are coming along well! He isn't up to a piano (thank god we have none lying around) but he can do it off a picnic table now!
Dee can do bunny hops and her own version of cartwheels! Her spilts are coming along awesomely!! April 23 Darcy's Love LetterDee got some photos from her friend, Marcus. She went to his birthday party back in March. She was the 'special guest'. It was just her, the birthday boy and his two little twin sisters.
She was spoilt rotten at the party. Marcus' mum had some many wonderful things for them to do.
Anyway - L sent some photos in the mail and we got them yesterday. They are really lovely. As Ive mentioned before, Dee is very into writing letters atm. So of course, we had to write a letter to Marcus. She followed the dots on the word Marcus, and wrote her own name herself. Then she dictated to me what I had to write.
We then put the stickers on!! The stickers were care of her brother, who got a VERY Ben10 present from Sally and Sam yesterday!! Ben 10 shirt, blanket, dvd and book of stickers!! He went out today and covered his bike in the stickers!!! And he gave some to Darcy for her letter -

I think they are both brilliant, and I thoroughly enjoyed this dance, just wanted it to go on and on and on!!
I hope my boy can be as good a dancer as this one day!! he thought the dance was 'Wicked!'
April 20 HighSchool Musical On Ice!!!!!!!!!I think Mandy and I enjoyed ourselves as much, if not MORE than the children today!!

We were in the 3rd front row and WOW! What brilliant seats!!!!!!!
The show was awesome, all the songs from both musicals and the dancing and tricks were great!!!
Asking the kids what their fav parts were, they couldn't answer - they said 'I loved it all!'
The boy playing Troy is an Aussie - a Sydney boy!! COOL!!!!
Be VERY jealous Casey!! There were 4 'girls' in their 20's sitting behind us - with no kids. They were there cause they love HSM! I thought of you straight away! You would have loved loved loved it!!!
I thought, too late, of geting Connor a wildcats shirt. You can never get boys HSM stuff at Kmart etc. Its all blingy and pink usually. But they had boys stuff there today - we had steered clear of the merchandising stands because they were a BLOODY RIPOFF. And when we were over at the park I said to Mandy I was going to go back and see if I could get Boy a shirt, but they were all packed up- bummer! At least I saved my money! April 19 I didn't leave the house his messy did I? *sigh*We are home.
I opened the front door and realised the rush that we had left in last Thursday. School uniforms still on the loungeroom floor.. school bags tossed in the corner.. Present wrappers from Connor's early present openings from family and friends. Last Thurs was such a drama. We picked up the car at 1pm, I was home by 2pm, car packed by 3pm, kids home from school at 3.10pm and us left for Queensland via dancing at 3.20pm.
So you can imagine the state of the place...
We had a really lovely holiday - as you can see from the posts! lol
Back to reality now.
GOtta get out the back with the kids tomorrow. They have an eisteddfod this week and no dancing for a week and a half. Plus Con has to practise his troupe dance as they have their first eisteddfod in exactly a month - oh shite!!

No sooner were we home then Mark was on his bike to go down to Woolies to get milk and bread (he just wanted an excuse to get on the bike) but I can't talk. I turned the computer on to boot it up as I walked in the door, on the way to the toilet! LOL Ive gotta get my school programmes done this week too - oh my -running out of time already!
Sally - must have a boys day as well - tis all happening. Maybe a trip to the bike track with the Clique?
Im a sucker, I just cant' stay home and do 'nothing' or do 'something' like the housework - more to the point! LOLOLOL!
Mandina - maybe you would like to bring the girls over to the bike track at Campbelltown? It is a briliant place - Skye would love it!
Off to make toasted cheese sandwiches for dinner April 18 follow the winding roadWe r driving driving driving 2day. Its alm0st 7pm & we passed thru Coffs half an hour ago. The road h0me is so bad. Its dreadful that this is our major highway! We didnt leave the Gold Coast until after 1pm this arvo as we were invited 2 an owners brunch & we couldnt pass up free food! We then drove 2 Lismore & visited mum, nanna & my great aunt mary. Mum to0k the kids over the paddock 2 meet the 'c0untry c0usins' who r ab0ut 3rd c0z i think. C0n played lovely games with the b0ys. We left there after 4 & just had maccas 4 tea. We were g0na drive thru 2 h0me 2nite but instead we r staying at Port Macquarie 2nite. We were able 2 use our credits 2get a free nite. B0nus! The kids cant wait 2get there as theres a heated pool. We d0nt have 2 leave until 12 2mrw so will b h0me r0und 5pm i guess. April 16 Darcys face!'U cant lo0k at ur n0se because ur n0se is on ur face & ur neck makes u stuck 2 it.' This was Darcys philosophical c0mment 2day after she had wiped her face & her eyes went cross-eyed. I had freaked out because it was so crossed & i asked her 2 sh0w daddy. Of course she c0uldnt do it on call & i'd said 'lo0k at ur n0se'. Thats what caused her v medical resp0nse! We off 2 the l0cal SLSC for dinner. Another nice day 2day. A bit windy tho. April 15 Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary!2day we went 2 Currumbin. I was so excited ab0ut it because mum & dad took us when we were kids. We got a gr8 deal. It only cost us $74 for the family. It was a huge day.we arrived at 8.15 & left after 4.30! Con just l0ved the birds. He could n0t get en0ugh of them. CJ & Darcy were both petrified of them, Ceilidh especially hated them & stayed as far away from them as possible. This is what they have 2 say; Darcy- i like the bit with the snake. The lady put the snake on my neck. He was a little bit heavy & he was m0ving his tail & he didnt m0ve his t0ngue out 2 eat people. Connor- my m0st fav0urite thing 2day was the lorikeets. I had 2 h0ld a b0wl with milk in it & milli0ns & milli0ns came d0wn 4 it. They went on my head,my arms,my hat & they were hanging d0wn over my face & n0w my shirt has poo on it. I want 2 bring a snake home. It is a harmless one. It lives in the ceiling & will eat the mice at home & the frogs but I dont think Chewy will like it. Mum said no. Ceilidh - 2day was the best but it was v v v frightening. I got scared at adventure parc & at the lorikeets because i thought they might scratch me! I loved climbing high at adventure park,it was higher than 30feet! And dad & i got 2do the huge flying fox. April 14 picture this...Awake at 8am (that part n0t gr8), perc c0ffee & t0ast on verandah overl0oking coolangatta. 10.30am, walk al0ng kirra beach c0llecting shells & splashing in waves. 12pm,free 'owners' lunch 4 family. 1pm, lying on deck chair with b0ok whilst kids play in pool, blogging by ph0ne whilst blamanging here. 2.30pm,older 2 go j0in kids club,playing ball games. D & i stay at p0ol, Mark wanders d0wn 2 the sh0ps 4 milk & a haircut. 4.30pm, check out 4 bikes (one with baby seat) & go 4 ride along bike track next 2 beach. 6.30pm,bbq next 2 putt putt c0urse. 8pm, icecream on verandah. W0W WHAT A DAY! U jealous yet? April 13 0mg,the sharks!Sea World was amazingly brilliant! We had the m0st w0nderful time, fr0m the m0ment we arrived til the m0ment we left! We arrived there at 9.45 & headed straight in. We caught the sky cable 2 the middle of the park & it was right near the waterb0at rides. So,1st up,all 5 of us went on the Bermuda Triangle ride,c0n v impressed that it went inside a v0lcano! Dee was v frightened so we left her & mark off The Flume & cj,c0n & i went ön it,twice! No queues so we just stayed on. Then Marks turn with kids. We then went & saw the dolphins & Boy g0t v str0ppy bcs there were little kids in feeding them. We saw the p0lar bears & again (as at singap0re zoo) i was m0rtified that these beautiful artic creatures are stuck in our heat & humidity. Then it was time f0r SHARK BAY.0h my g0d!0mg 0mg! These creatures were en0rm0us!they actually butt their n0ses up against the perspex,they get so cl0se! Conn0r was beside himself,we all were really!amazing stuff! There was even a tiger shark & hammer head in thr! There were so many sharks & rays & fish! Th0usands! We headed 4 the waterpark secti0n after that as it was alm0st 12.30& we were h0t & hungry. Mark went& g0t h0t chippies whilst kids swam. We had our chippy sandwiches & then we all went swimming & on the slip n slides. C0n & cj went on the gin0rm0us tyre raft one ab0ut 20times.c0n w0uld sprint up the 10flights of stairs & find a spare seat with an0ther gr0up & he'd b back up ready by the time cj was up thr! They made friends with a b0y & girl & played with them til 2.20. We m0ved on then. Planet S0S was a 4D sh0w that was so clever! Cept darc scared again! Off 2 seasame st beach with rides 4 Darcy but that cj & c0n (& mummy) enj0yed 2! And ph0to time with elmo,but n0t dee, scared - again! Then over 2 pirateship & c0rkscrew. CJ chickend out,so she & darc watched & t0ok ph0tos of us on them. Con was cranky that he was 2 sh0rt 4 r0llerc0aster! Mark & i went on - fr0nt r0w seats - freakus! We then walked 2wrds the gate & l0oked at sharks & d0lphins again. It was 5pm then so We missed out on the dug0ngs, which upset me,but thats all that did. The day was awes0me. There were no l0ng lines 4 anything & all we spent was entrance fee (with disc0unt c0up0n), 2 chips,2 c0ffees & a c0uple of drink b0ttle s0uveniers! As we shuffled, gr0aning, back 2 car (cept b0y who was cartwheeling) conn0r said 'mum,this was the best day ever 4 a birthday!' And i t0tally agree!! April 12 my b0y my b0y my beautiful boy!We had l0vely rememberings in bed this m0rn. He aw0ke @ the crack of dawn,of c0urse!he climbed in with me 4 his daily mummy cuddle & he t0ld me what its like 2b 6! 'Im big mum! Ive gr0wn taller!' I was able 2 wait til 7.30 b4 we w0ke dad & did presents. Cj & he came out 2me on verandah 2 sh0w me h0w he's up higher on her n0w! He went a tad ape when opening the gifts! April 11 13th flo0r!I am sitting on our verandah with the ocean view,sipping my cup of perc c0ffee & watching a plane land at co0langatta airp0rt. The place is divine.we r on the 2nd hìghest floor & have views 2 surfers,plus views of the m0untains! The kids r delighted. The trip was L.0.N.G. especially with Dee. We hadnt hit Ber0wra & she was asking were we in Qld yet! Thankfully she fell asleep ar0und Gosford & pretty much stayed that way til we reached Coffs at 12.30. Con & CJ watched m0vies on the dvd players m0st of the trip.c0nn0r flaked at Gloucester turn off. Ceilidh lasted til Port! Mark lasted 2 raym0nd terrace then i said I'd drive cause he was scaring me! He was asleep in 5min! The new car is going beaut! The kids l0ve it so much. We c0uld hear Boy c0ming d0wn the r0ad fr0m sch0ol saying 'our new car,wicked!' 2mrw is Sea World-we think! We're a bit worried ab0ut saturday cr0wds. Con has t0ld every1 he's met that he is 6 2wrw! The girls r xctd 2.i must get a cake 4 2mrw nite. Signimg out n0w. We r off 2 buy s0me fish n chips 4 dinner & s0me 'messages' 4 the apartnent. I br0ught m0st gr0ceries with us. April 10 Swim SchoolCeilidh has had swim school this week. Something else she has never been involved with because WC never did that.
She is really enjoying it. Instead of it being 45mins over 10 days they are doing 90min lessons over 5 days. Much better for the school and the kids.
She misses tomorrows lesson (where of course they are assessed - typical) But she is definately learning stuff from it. She came home yesterday telling mehow she has to leave her arm up when she wants to breath in freestyle or some such thing.
I wish they would to swimming as a sport at school. She has been wearing her new pumpkin patch cossie that we got at xmas time that was too big for her... oh dear - it fits her now. She is growing up too fast.
Boyo is excited about Saturday. He was so excited about holiday and Sea World that he failed to realise it was only days until he turned 6! This has now changed and he's busy couting down the days and telling everyone about it!
He reckons that at Sea World we are going to see 'A whale shark, a bull shark, a white tip shark, a pointer, a reef shark, a wobbygong, a tigershark, a hammerhead' and the list goes on......
OH DEAR! As you can see, he's a bit shark crazy atm. After that poor boy was killed the other day all Connor could ask was 'what kind of shark was it?' |
