    FunnY Ceilidh

CJ has been very talkative and chipper since she got home. She was telling me a funny story in the car on THursday. She was saying that one day when in Germany, Casey was checking out my blog....

'And Mummy, she was looking at a page of Connor and she laughed so hard she was nearlly gastric!'

    'Nearlly gasteric? Nearlly poo'ed herself??'

'Nooooo!!! Umm, oh - what is it?'

'She laughed so hard she was in hysterics and nearly wet herself?'

    'YES! That's it! Opps!'

    LOL!

    Male and Female

You might not have known this,  but a lot of non-living objects are
actually either male or female.  Here are some examples:
FREEZER BAGS: They are male, because they hold everything in, but you can
    see right through them.
PHOTOCOPIERS: These are female, because once turned off; it takes a while
    to warm them up again.
They are an effective reproductive device if the right buttons are pushed,
but can also wreak havoc if you push the wrong Buttons.

TYRES: Tires are male, because they go bald easily and are often over inflated.

HOT AIR BALLOONS: Also a male object, because to get them to go any where,
you have to light a fire under their butt

SPONGES: These are female, because they are soft, squeezable and retain
    water.
WEB PAGES: Female, because they're constantly being looked at and
    frequently getting hit on.
TRAINS: Definitely male, because they always use the same old lines for
    picking up people.
EGG TIMERS: Egg timers are female because, over time, all the weight shifts
    to the bottom.
HAMMERS: Male, because in the last 5000 years, they've hardly changed at
all, and are occasionally handy to have around.
THE REMOTE CONTROL: Female. Ha! You probably thought it would be male, but
consider this: It easily gives a man pleasure, he'd be lost without it, and
while he doesn't always know which buttons to push, he just keeps trying

My Baby Girl Has Touched Down

Well CJ is home from her 'European Tour'. Ok Ok, so it was only a German tour -but still!!!

She was full of chit chat last night, very excitedly telling us everything. Got automatically stroppy with Con and Darcy over touching stuff, so nothing has changed there!

She has presents for everyone! LOL! And a bucketload of new clothes, thanks to the Aunties spoiling her rotten!

She thinks she's going to school tomorrow, I didnt tell her otherwise - will see how she wakes up in the morn..................
    April 25

Up late again 2nite - and just watched Yentl.

It all began the day I found..
That from my window I could only see
    A piece of sky.
I stepped outside and looked around.
I never dreamed it was so wide
    Or even half as high.
    The time had come
    (Papa, can you hear me?)
    To try my wings
    (Papa, are you near me?)
And even thought it seemed at any moment I could fall,
    I felt the most,
    (Papa, can you see me?)
    Amazing things,
    (Can you understand me?)
    The things you can't imagine
if you've never flown at all.
Though it's safer to stay on the ground,
    Sometimes where danger lies
There the sweetest of pleasures are found.
    No matter where I go,
There'll be memories that tug at my sleeve,
    But there will also be
More to question, yet more to believe..
    Oh tell me where?
Where is the someone who will turn and look at me?
    And want to share
    My ev'ry sweet-imagined possibility?
The more I live - the more I learn.
The more I learn - the more I realize
    The less I know.
    Each step I take -
    (Papa, I've a voice now!)Each page I turn -
(Papa, I've a choice now!)Each mile I travel only means
The more I have to go.
    What's wrong with wanting more?
If you can fly - then soar!
With all there is - why settle for
    just a piece of sky?
    Papa, I can hear you...
    Papa, I can see you...
    Papa, I can feel you...
    Papa, watch me fly!

It is 1.39 am. I should be in bed - why on earth am I not....

Well, 4 hours ago (and it seems like only 1hour ago) I sat down on the floor to watch NCIS and decided to do a scrapbooking page! I just looked at the time 30mins ago (when almost finished the page) and saw it was 1am!!

Ok, so it should have dawned on me, I watched NCIS and JAG and 2 Will and Grace episodes, but still!!

And I have work tomorrow - TODAY!!

Geez, I'll be fun in 5 hours time, won't I!

Spose I'd better get to bed now!

    Video Conferencing

After having MSN for YEARS now, last night, by accident, I worked out how to do video conferencing. Ive done webcam with Case before, but never video. OMG it was so awesome, and CJ was very excited to see and talk to mummy! She even practised her fling in front of me! LOL!

    Friday Frenzy

I went scrapbooking last night!!!!! It is the first time I have done it in over a year. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I was very happy to get to BIG pages done - being Connor's 2005 preschool and CJs Year 2 school. I didnt get to do Preschool 2006 and Year 1 for CJ - had grand hopes but enjoyed myself chatting too much! LOL!

I had a really really really lovely night and best of all - spent only $6.45! BONUS!! Thankyou for the company Katrina, Tina and Sal Mal - love u guys, u made my night!

Tina, Sal and I are booked in again for next Friday, there are only 2 or 3 places left cause it's stamp club as well, so get yourself down there Mandy!!!

Free classes all through April - including Frenzies! So I am determined to get the other school pages done next week (as Con and Dees THIS year photos will arrive any day, plus CJs photos are in May!). I also want to do Ceilidh's Irish Nationals  - but must go and order them first! Oh and want to do Connor's RG concert - must order those photos off Barnaby as well......

Hmmmmm  - lots to do! lol

Gawd I hope this horoscope is right

I got a letter from ATO today about my tax. It is over 2 years overdue but with the crap my life has been for the past 18months it has been the last thing on my mind. Anyway, I decided that once I had the kids in bed tonight I would sit down and try to sort it out - well partially, so that i could at least ring the tax man and make an appointment. HAHAHA. I can't find my group certificates for last year or the year before. i can find the casual ones, but not the 'real' job ones. So I jumped online to look up the DET intranet portal - no bloody phone numbers for staffing or hr or payroll - NONE! Im gonna have to try and make some phone calls tomorrow, in between lessons in the morning and taking the kids to a disco in the afternoon. Great!

Then i get this from my daily horoscope - geez I hope it comes true!!
    Dear Justine,
    Here is your horoscope
    for Friday, April 20:

A million things are happening simultaneously and you're at the center of the whirlwind. Never fear -- remember that the eye of the storm is by far the calmest place to be. You'll get it under control.

Received from M and makes me feel much better!

I got this email from M (thankyou!). Yes I am missing CJ this week, quite terribly the last 48 hours or so. But your email has made me feel a bit better. I just wish I was the one there to help her 'discover' all these wonderful things......

I just had a look at Petey's blog before going to bed, and it's hit me:  "what a wonderful thing Justine has done for Ceilidh!"

I mean intellectually I knew she was in Germany, but hadn't gotten past "she's in Germany for Casey's wedding".  I've just realised "OMG she's in Germany! What an amazing experience for which she is the perfect age!  The things she's seeing, tasting, feeling, smelling, so different than home.  A whole other language, culture, all those old buildings....

What I'm trying to say Jus is I know how incredibly hard it is for you, especially now it's week 2, but what a gift you have given her, allowing her to go. It's a time she will treasure forever.  xxx

    A day at the museum

We headed into the museum with the Toa's. Hadn't been for over a year. Lots changed because they are refurbishing. But still an enjoyable day (because it was free!) Went over to Hyde Park for a play then met Daddy for coffee before coming home.
    April 16

    Y O Y DONT THEY SLEEP IN!!!!!

We were up at 6.45am yesterday, walked the show for 12 hours (admittidly Dee had a sleep in pram) then got home at 8 last night.

WHY WERE THEY BOTH UP AT SEVEN THIS MORNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    April 15

    A Day At The Show!!

we arrived bright and early at the Show this year, went with Poppa. It was weird not having Ceilidh there! I kept thinking 'Oh she would like this showbag etc' but had to remind myself that 'poor darling got a trip to Germany instead! lol!'

At the start we went up to the flower section, and the kids loved playing in the gardens, and planting stuff and playing in the sandpit! The lady asked if anyone had frogs in their backyards, because to have frogs means your yard if very healthy. And Connor said 'Yes, heaps in our pool!!' (sad but true!!)

Making Grass!! There was a little girl, at least 12 months older than Dee and she didnt have an idea of what to do, couldn't follow any of the instructions. Missy Muffet refused help from anyone! LOL!

We were very excited, because - by pure accident, today was the day that Griffs were on at the show. Darcy very excitidly told Poppa that we saw TWO Chewys!!! *g* The judge was Russian, and apparently he breeds Griffons!! He definately went for the smaller ones, rather than the large - why he couldnt have been judging when we had BoBo entered!!

We then went to the showbag hall. Connor bought 'Butt Ugly Martians, a Magic Bag and a lolly one. Darcy bought "FiFi and the Flowerpots' and some lolly ones. Mark and I got WizzFizz and Starbursts!! We sat down in the shade around the corner of the showbag pavillion and went through the bags, getting rid of the paper and separating the junkfood - cause that was what the kids could eat every time they said 'we're hungry' throughout the day!!

We then went back across to the dogs and got out our bread and butter and drinks from home. Went and bought some hot chippies and had chippy sambos for lunch. Gave Poppa the bag with stuff we didnt want to carry round, then across to the woodchopping for a while. Stayed for about 30mins but it was getting hot, plus the kids had eaten too much junk and wouldnt keep still.

So across to the arts and industry tent. Where FINALLY I found my toast bags that I have been looking for, for the last.ohhh - 3 years!!! So bought 2!! Then into the food hall - YUMMY samples in there!!!! Yoghurts, nuts, milk, fruit. So felt better that the kids were having some good stuff after the sugar and chip fix they had been devouring!!!

By this time Poppa had finished stewarding so met us there! We kept walking, but the ABC Kids Van was just closing up - damn it! And there was a thunderstorm coming. So the kids played for 5 mins on the swings then we went into watch a cattle auction (to keep out of the rain, but it was actually very interesting) More interesting hearing Connor telling Daddy that they were bulls not cows because look at their big whizzers!!!!
Darcy was upset that she hadn't see the chickens, but other than that - we were ready to head home. So last thing, was to the ghost train. Connor had been asking since 8am for that!! (sounds very like CJ was a few years ago) He wasn't at all scared - in fact at the end his words were' IS THAT ALL, THAT WASN"T SCARY!!!' I can't wait until next year, I reckon we send Connor and CJ alone! Betcha they're BOTH frightened that time! LOL!!

We headed back to the car and were lucky enough to get a fireworks show on the way (not from the show!!). We didnt go into the main arena this year - first time for ever I think!!! All in all a lovely, exhausting day!!

Daa Dum De Daaa...Daa Dum De Daaaaa.

At 10.23 last night I got a text message from Peta in Germany 'They're Married'.

My eyes automatically welled up. I was sooo happy, but so sad too.

Then about 15 mins later another text to say they were on their way to the water tower for photos.

Then, at almost midnight my mobile rang. My beautiful sister, Peetie rang me from her mobile to mine - from Germany to Oz, and said 'Dont be sad, everything is wonderful, she looks beautiful. Ceilidh is being wonderful. We are on our way to the reception, do you hear all the horn beeping, that's all the cars in the wedding party beeping. I rang you so you could feel a part of it! No matter what time I get home from the reception I promise I will send the photos straight to you'.

    And she did!

THANKYOU SO MUCH FOR EVERYTHING PEETIE!!

My baby sister is now a Wife!!! lol!

    My Birthday Boy

When Boy went to sleep last night he said to me 'my bones will be hurting while Im asleep because I will be growing into a 5 year old!!!'

We have had a lovely day!!

Up bright an early so he coudl have a play with his birthday presents here(we gave him a lightening mcqueen study table and a puppet show and some books) before we had to pack the car and go to the bike park.

What a brilliant venue for a party. It was wonderful, such a gorgeous day and lovely friends and wow - he was spoilt in the present department!! Clothes and toys and games and money and musical instruments!! You name it!!

Plus the wonderful cake his wonderful mother made! LOL!

    Pure Mummy Brag!~!

I am so proud of my kids.

Proud of what a good girl CJ is being over in Germany and how she is trying to speak German and learn as much as possible.

Proud of my boy, who, just then surprised me with his 'number knowledge'. We were looking at the photo album of CJs 4th birthday fairy party. I showed him this tiny boy in yellow overalls and said 'that's you'. He asked how old he was and I said 'ohh, not quite 1' as soon as I said it he said 'Oh, I was zero!'

And my baby Princess who told me that 'Lellow is not my favourite anymore, I like pink now, I have 2 of the favourites for colours!'
    April 10

    White!

Son asked his mother the following question:

'Mum, why are wedding dresses white?'

The mother looks at her son and replies,

'Son, this shows your friends and relatives that your bride is pure.'

The son thanks his Mum and goes off to double-check this with his father.

'Dad why are wedding dresses white?'

The father looks at  his son in surprise and says,

'Son, all household appliances come in white.'
