I realised today that THIS Friday is the kids last Highland lesson for the year!! Next Friday is CONCERT! The Friday after WE WILL BE IN GERMANY!!!

My morning is childfree- kids at school, Dee at Preschool until lunchtime. I've so much to do.. What am I doing??? Watching Mika on tv & now waiting for Buble to come on..

This year, for the Soloist's routine at the concert they are doing Michael Jackson.

 

Con is very much 'in the zone' at the moment -well for that he is - not for much else!!

She was such a good girl! Didn't complain once!!! Was spoilt and treated special again.

 

Last time  - for sure  - for this film.

 

But she's keen on more more more! lol!

of an 8 week term is over for me!

 

OMG - only 3 more weeks of work to go!

Connor lost his tooth - and then he lost his tooth!

He has since found it - we must put it out for the tooth fairy!

 

Tonights conditioning lesson was a 'mind' conditioning lesson too.

 

It's the first time my kids have really experienced one of R and G's 'Mind and Body' lessons. They came out pumped.

Here is what they wrote in their journals..

 

 

Today is expected to be 40. I think it will reach it. I awoke at 7, because I was roasting - and that was with the fan going all night long.

 

Dee woke at 8.

 

The other two were still fast asleep. So I let them sleep, then I woke them at 8.45 (school starts at 8.55) it was cutting it 5imns too fine. I should have woken them at 8.40 -they would have made it without a late note. Con was in bed and asleep by 8.30 and CJ by 9.30 - so it's not like they had a late night. And we didnt go anywhere yesterday.

 

I let them have Friday off school - they slept until almost 10am.

 

I need them to be well and fit and NOT exhausted for this next few weeks. Not just because of concert - but we haven't got time to be sick!! So they may well be having a few days off here and there. Or at least - late starts.

 

CJ is talking about going to school on the Friday of the concert. Apparently it is 'Fair Day' and their class is doing a bubble machine. I want them to sleep LATE LATE LATE that day. We will see how it goes...

 

It doesn't matter that I couldn't have afforded it..... I cannot believe it!

 

Mika is doing one show in Australia - ONE SHOW.

And it's in Sydney, and it's at the Enmore, and it's on Tuesday the 24th November -

THE NIGHT WE ARE GOING TO WICKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

 

He has only ever done ONE show in Sydney before - that was last time the album came out - so 3 years ago or something.

I love Mika, my kids ALL love Mika!!

And of course, he is HUGE in Germany - and he is doing shows in Frankfurt and in Stuttgart - IN MARCH!!

I am feeling rather bloated and yucky this morning. But man was it worth it!

 

Last night was the RGDANCE MUMS XMAS DINNER!

 

We had it at Inseimme restaurant at Ultimo. (same place as last year!) The food is DIVINE and oh so much of it - too too too much!

And the company was delightful!!

 

Then 7 of us stopped at Stanmore Macca's on the way home and had coffee until almost 1am!!

Such a great night out!!

 

My Thursday started off well. I dropped Connor at school and then CJ and I raced over to Panania to get her some camel jazz shoes. I dropped her back at school at 9,45 and headed home> Mum and Dee were waiting on the front porch when I got here. Thankfully, they hadn't been waiting long.

We then had a cuppa and a chat and mum went home.

I then proceeded to watch - about 30 times - Dee's movie!! I cant' help it - I just keep watching it!! lol!

 

Mark is calling into the Seymour Centre this arvo to buy the tickets for the concert. They went on sale this morning and are already more than half sold out. And Sat night is almost fully sold out. I hope he is able to get 3 for Sat night as Mum, Dad and Peta are doing the double show Sat.

 

It's now almost school finish time. I have to shove Dee in the shower (mingin she is!) and get her hair done for ballet. Then pack up the food bag and clothes bags and head up to get the kiddlets.

Today I was sent the first cut of MOving Day. The first edit. THe run through.

 

OH MY OH MY OH MY!!

 

It's looking soooo good!!!

 

So amazing!!!

 

Not for public viewing as yet. But soon soon soon.

 

We have some more pick up shots - hands and feet! LOL! ON the 20th. They said they could use a Dee Double! LOL! But we would like to do it.

 

When I asked Darcy she looked at me and said 'YES PLEASE!!'

 

So next Friday - yipee! Gotta make sure I keep her bruise free til then! She's had a massive egg on her head and yellowing bruise for the past 2 weeks, but it's slowly fading now.

It was wonderful not to work today.

 

Dreadful for me to say so, when I have only been 'working' 3 days a week for this term. But that extra day really does my head in.

 

I hate feeling guilty for only working part time.

 

Why should I???

I DONT work part time anyway  - I have my own teaching, plus racing the children here there and everywhere. That should be included as 'work' even though I dont get paid.

 

Anyway, back to today.

 

I dropped Dee up at the childcare centre. She was happy to go - as I'd told her I would pick her up at 12.30, after their lunch.

 

I went around to the school and did 1.5 hours of reading with Year 2.

I came home and sorted and wrapped xmas presents, adn packed the Germany ones in a suitcase.

Just gotta get Casey's sorted, and something else for Peta and Im done.

 

Then I had a tomato sandwich and a cup of tea, and went and picked up Dee.

 

She and I then wrapped the rest of the families presents. She said to me "Mum, you didnt tell me we were going to do THIS today!'' She was so excited!!

By that time it was almsot 3pm, so I stuck a load of washing on, and the kids walked in the door.

OUt to teach at 5 until 7.30, then back in to make the kids lunches and sort out dancing/school food for tomorrow.

Five Things I'm Thankful For.

I think seeing my black mood from the last few days (weeks) I need to do this

 

1. My beautiful HEALTHY children, who fight and scream and drive me to distraction - but I have them safe with me always.

2. My home - even though it is so friggen disgustingly dirty - at least I have a home

3. The ability to be able to afford to go to Germany for Xmas, even if we will be staying in the one bedroom flat for 6 weeks due to the fact we have no money to go anywhere!

4. The help from Mark - even though it takes alot of effort to get that help to work, and it's not what it used to be. It is better than nothing, which is what some people have.

5. My ability to bounce back from blackness, because boy oh boy was I black last week.

I've enjoyed having IQ on the tele. Some of the channels show the old 80's and 90's tv shows.

I watched the entire season of XFiles for a few months, that only just stopped about a fortnight ago. Then I went through and decided what next one I would watch. And have set it for Ally McBeal.

So last night, I sat down in front of the tv for the first time all week. Firstly CJ and I watched 3 episodes of Star Trek. Then she went to bed and I watched 5 eps of Ally McBeal - until 2 in the morning.

Oh, it was so nice. I sobbed my little heart out. Lovely, silly little storylines.

Now - at  8am - I am exhausted. I must wake the children for dancing day...

 

Sleep in tomorrrow. No plans until the PM!

Will be the kids dance concert.

Today was Dee's first day at Orientation for big school. Or, as she told Rebecca and Grant tonight "it was my school meditation day''

There are apparently going to be 120 kindys starting next year!!!! That's SIX classes!!

 

She had a good time and went in and came out smiling. But when I asked her what she did, this is what she told me...
