Mummy - The zoo? Yes, one day - maybe in the holidays.

DS3 - Ok.... You know.... there are dinosaurs there.

Mummy - Yes they do, do the dinosaurs eat the koalas? (mummy being wicked)

     DS3 - Nooooo, don't be silly...

(silence for about 30 seconds - the brain is ticking over)

     DS3 - No.....ok - Poppa can.

Mummy - Can't nanna come? She will be sad at home by herself.

     DS3 - No, she doesn't like dinosaurs!

(silence for about 60 seconds this time)

DS3 - You know what Casey's favourite dinosaur is?

     Mummy - What?

     DS3 - Ranasaurs Rex!

Mummy - Really! wow!! What's Danmans favourite?

    Angelina Ballerina....

My baby got her ballet results today!!

It was her first exam that she gets graded for - RAD Primary

She got distinction! All of the little Primary's did!!

    She got 96 Marks!!

I was so proud of her!!

On a  funny note, I had said to her before the exam 'if you get above 90 I'll buy you an MP3 player'. The first thing she said to me was she came running up with her certificate 'Mummy, Mummy, I can get an MP3 Player now!'!!!

    LOL!!

My movie star daughter + Crop for a Cure

Wow - what a day it was yesterday! I didn't get to bed till close to 2am on Saturday night because my girls had been dancing in at a St Andrew's Ball and then when I got home Casey was on webcam so had to talk to her of course!!

Then, once convo was over I had to get EVERYTHING ready for Sunday....

Sunday morning - 6am - jumped out of bed (yeah right - as if I jumped!) and woke up DD6. We picked up friends and then drove into town to the Wharf Theatre. Y? Because the girls from DD6 age group at ballet are extras in a movie that is coming out next year, called Razzle Dazzle (the tears and tantrums of the dancing world! lol)

The kids had a ball! (except that DD6 was in horrendous mood from lack of sleep - she was out with me too on Saturday night!) They had to wear their fork and spoon costumes from last year's concert (see attached pic from the concert last year!) and basically walk up and down a corridor whilst the 2 stars had a convo in front of them. The 2 stars being Barry Crocker and.... damn - can't think of her name - will come back to me! It looks like it is a very sarcastic kinda movie - very like Strictly Ballroom.

We were all done there by 9.15. I drove back to Moorebank for finale practise. Dropped DD there an scooted out to Campbelltown for the day.

Spent from 10.30 till 5.30 scrapbooking and spending lots of money (shh - dont tell DH!) It was such a blast! I only got 2 layouts done! A single and a double - but they're nice! (I think anyway! - shall take a pic of them and show you!)

Came home to the rest of the family who were running ferral around the house( DH included!!) Gave kisses and cuddles and dinner to all and sent them all to bed! Sat down with DH to watch 'Ring out your dead!' (thought that was a funny title! lol!) on tele put fell asleep on lounge!

Phew - exhausting day! Bring on Monday! lol!

    Labyrinth

After talking about the movie Labyrinth (with Mr David Bowie) in the car on the way home tonight I now have the urge to watch it (but will restrain myself, seeings as it is 12.27am!) I really could see myself as Sarah - I felt I used to live in such a 'la la land'. Geez I loved that movie.

So now- I will sing the love song from the ballroom scene.... I was madly in love with this movie at 16, and more so madly in love with this song. I had the soundtrack and I remember taking it over to Scotland with me and listening to it on my walkman constantly!
I remember (very sadly) having a major crush on a Scottish Runner I had met over there- Ryan Orr - and whilst lying on my bed in the Y I would sing this song to myself about him! ROFLMAO!!His  name used to fit into the instrumental bit at the start of the song! LOL! (ry-an ry-an orr!) Oh dear - those were the days!! lol

There's such a sad love, deep in your eyes
A kind of pale jewel, open and close
    Within your eyes
    I place the skys
    Within your eyes

Theres such fools heart, beating so fast
In search of new dreams, a love that will last
    Within your heart
    I'll place the moon
    Within your heart

    As the fear seeps through
    Makes no sense for you
Every thrill it's caused wasn't too much fun at all

But I'll be there for you (ooh ooh)
    As the world falls down.

    Falling Falling in love...

(there's more but I can't remember it atm -will just have ta watch the movie!)

Hop In2 Highland Concert - Sunday 20th November

Well, now that I've calmed down after last Sunday I feel ok to write about my concert.

Let me just clear that up - not just my concert - but my very first - OWN concert!!!

I was sooo scared, but so excited too! To be finally doing it! I felt like a 'real' dancing teacher at last!!

Well, after MAJOR hiccups with the music during the rehearsal (poor DH going out and buying sound systems during the day!) 2pm finally hit - and concert time started!!

The kids were FANTASTIC!!!!! I was so proud of them - they did so well!! And I was/am most proud of my 3 'big girls'. They held the show together. They were the glue that bound it all so well! So many of my dancers are new, and most are non-competitive. So these 3 - two of whom are 13, the other 15, were in every 3rd item - the ENTIRE show!!

The little ones were adorable, of course! They always steal a show! You can't help but watch them fumble around the stage!!

I have attached some photos I got from a dancing mum. I really hope that i get some more. i noticed alot of camears (both video and still) out in the audience - so I'll have to ask for copies!

These photos are just my wee ones, and a group one at the end.

I can't wait now till next years show!!

    Rain Rain Go Away...

A friend posted this story on my Mums Group.
Talk about taking shopping to the extreme!!! - check out the photo attached!

What a miserable Friday! It is awful when you feel you can't whinge about the rain!! lol! I don't understand why the news constantly says 'No rain in the catchment areas.' Where ARE these catchment areas - The Nullabor?! Of course, to make things even wetter this morning, the car wasn't parked in the driveway but on the grass - so tramping feet, carrying DD1 as she would be wet all over if I let her walk, rushing to get to car - under dripping tree branch - lovely! Added to this DS3 who has to climb with wet feet OVER seats - so mum has wet bum when she gets out of the car at shops!

Well, back at home now, nice and dry. DS3 currently climbing into fridge looking for 'orange jam' (which is actually apricot jam) DD1 sleeping soundly and DD6 blamanching on lounge watching Harry Potter 3 - or is it 4? Who knows - hard to keep up!

Im gonna eat my cheese & tomato sandwich, have my cuppa tea and google!

    Chicken Little? Chicken Lot??

Well, after our very hectic weekend - my very first dancing concert, I thought 'phew, time to relax and cruise till Xmas'. Well, at least relax for us Griffith's (which still includes dance teaching or taking DD6 to dancing most nights a week - but at least there isn't the stress of the potential concert flop to add to the stress levels! lol)

But, no, twas not to be! I noticed the other day that DD1 had a few spots on her - not many, only about 3. I thought she'd be bitten by a flea when lovingly strangling the dog to death. However, today there were a few more spots. Took her to docs - and yep, you guessed it - Chicken Pox!

Thankfully DD6 and DS3 have been immunised. Imagine if I had that up to and after christmas - lovely! I too have had the Pox - when I was 16 - and had em bad - so I should be right. Dunno about poor DH, will have to check with his mum!!  Hope he has - he will be impossible if not!
