    MY BABY BOY STARTS SCHOOL!!!!

From 7am Darcy wanted to leave for preschool - poor kid was only getting half a day today because we needed to drop her late and pick her up early to fit in with Connor's first kindy day!!

Con wanted to go up to school from about 8.30, problem being staggered start meant he didnt need to be up there until 9.45!

We arrived and when teh car pulled up he started crying 'No mummy No! This is the wrong school, Im going to Ceilidh's school!' OH DEAR!!!! We have been showing him his school everytime we drove past it and he went to orientation there. Dealing with him being upset was enough to stop me from crying!!

We walk him down to his classroom (LOOONG WALK!) and by the time we got there the tears had stopped. He happily walked in to the room and hung his bag up on it's hook!

    We left!

Took Dee to preschool. Madam promptly sat herself down and ate her recess, kissed us goodbye and turned on her heels and went back to her seat!!! Well well welL!

Mark and i went to Macarthur Square for the few hours to fill in  and had lovely coffee and chat with Tina and Mandy.

Picked up Dee - no accidents all day - and they told Mark 'She is independant isn't she!' ROFLMAO!!!!

Pick up Con - the teacher says 'I know you from somewhere!' We work out that her sister made her debut with the scottish dancing association, probably with me! When we were 16! She also went to UWS, but was doing sports science (and is now teaching kindy! Hmmmm!) So it could be through there as well! But that was good, cause it meant I 'dropped in the convo' that I was a teacher! lol!

Con had a great day, he had a time in the middle of the day where 'I just want to go home now' but soon got over that when the yr 6 kids sat down and played with him. Responded well to the sticker he got in the middle session and was a dream in the afternoon session. I told Mrs Low that he worked really well on reward systems and she said 'thanks, that will come in handy.' She also said 'He is Gorgeous!' Let us hope she continues with that train of thought! LOL!

Tomorrow we line up with the rest of the school!!!!!!

Me - I only cried when I dressed him this morning and he leant over and gave me a big kiss!!

WAITING TO LEAVE.... AND WAITING AND WAITING AND WAITING!!!

    Oh god - Perrible Tain!

    Yesterday was spent 'packing'.

One of our bases at work is moving. One of the teachers are coming to CEPS, another to Camden, another to Padstow. They have been based at the same school for over 15 years. So 15 years worth of stuff to move!

Plus their office is upstairs and have the gates in the school were locked.

So, lugg bags/boxes/books down the stairs, walk through the school and up the hill to whomevers car stuff has to be put in.

Do this AT LEAST 14 times!!

Then, get to MY school and upack 1/3 of the stuff, so lugg in (but at least my car was packed outside our classroom door!

Then, be a matyr and go to the gym.

Then fall into bed exhausted at 9.38pm!!!!!!

And wake up this morning in Perrible Tain!

Plus - CJ started Primary School yesterday. Here are our yearly tree pix....

    \\ 4 More sleeps

I am actually writing this on Tuesday evening and it is just one more sleep until my baby boy starts big school. He is so excited. I am so saaadddd......

I will miss him so very much.

Every day for the past 3 weeks he has asked me how long. Then when we got to 10more sleeps its been a daily thing. The last 4 days, the first thing he has said when he's woken in the morning is '_ more sleeps now Mummy'.

I had GREAT trouble getting him to bed tonight - he is jumping out of his skin - for Connor - this is not hard, as we know!

Add to this Missy Dee starts Preschool tomorrow (Wednesday) and Miss CJ started Primary School on Monday.

My kiddlets are growing up *sigh*

I have heard this before- but it's funny!

The other night I was invited out for a night with "the girls." I told my husband that I would be home by midnight, "I promise."
Well, the hours passed and the margaritas went down way too easy.
Around 3:00 a.m., a bit loaded, I headed for home. Just as I got in the
door, the cuckoo clock in the hall started up and cuckooed 3 times.
Quickly, realizing my husband would wake up, I cuckooed another 9 times. I
was really proud of myself for coming up with such a quick-witted solution, in order to escape a possible conflict with him.
(Even when totally smashed.....3 cuckoos plus 9 cuckoos totals 12 cuckoos =
    midnight.)
The next morning my husband asked me what time I got in and I told him
"midnight." He didn't seem upset at all. Whew! Got away with that one!
Then he said, "We need a new cuckoo clock."
When I asked him why, he said, "Well, last night our clock cuckooed 3
times, then said, "Oh shit", cuckooed 4 more times, cleared its throat, cuckooed another 3 times, giggled, cuckooed twice more, and then tripped over the coffee table and farted."

    Man am I BEAT!

CJ has had the RG Summer school the last 2 days (Connor had it the first day too), we have taken Brodie and another little friend, Emily, with us as well.

Today I went to Curves at Gladesville while they were there and did an hour work out (instead of half hr) I felt guilty cause I had naughty stuff yesterday and binged on my diet. Man am I paying for it through pain now!!

Tomorrow is the last day of the summer school These early mornings are killing me, but its actually really good for it to be the week before school goes back because it gets me (and the kids) into a 'little' bit of a routine before it all starts on MOnday.

BTW - CJ is loving the summerschool, as are Brodie and Emily. Brodie's fav so far has been jazz. CJs and Emilys has been tap and acro!

So the other day she was sent to her room for being a very naughty girl. Can't remember what she did - there's so many things!

Anyway  - after about 20mins there was silence, so I sneak in and she's in the nuddy (she went in there clothed!) and fast asleep on Ceilidh's top bunk!!

I had to take a photo - but I placed the teddy there so she wasn't fully rudey nudey!

I DIDN'T KNOW THAT! - Well depends - what did you know ?

"Stewardesses" is the longest word typed with only the left hand and "lollipop" with your right. (Bet you tried this out mentally, didn't you?)

No word in the English language rhymes with month, orange, silver, or purple.

"Dreamt" is the only English word that ends in the letters "mt". (Are you doubting this?)

Our eyes are always the same size from birth, but our nose and ears never stop growing.

The sentence: "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" uses every letter of the alphabet (Now, you KNOW you're going to try this out for accuracy, right?)

The words 'racecar,' 'kayak' and 'level' are the same whether they are read left to right or right to left (palindromes). (Yep, I knew you were going to "do" this one.)

There are only four words in the English language which end in "dous": tremendous, horrendous, stupendous, and hazardous. (You're not doubting this, are you?)

There are two words in the English language that have all five vowels in order: "abstemious" and "facetious."
    (Yes, admit it, you are going to say . a e i o u)

TYPEWRITER is the longest word that can be made using the letters only on one row of the keyboard. (All you typists are going to test this out)

A cat has 32 muscles in each ear.

A goldfish has a memory span of three seconds. (Some days that's about what my memory span is)

A "jiffy" is an actual unit of time for 1/100th of a second.

A shark is the only fish that can blink with both eyes.

A snail can sleep for three years. (I know some people that could do this too.)

Almonds are a member of the peach family.

An ostrich's eye is bigger than its brain.

Babies are born without kneecaps They don't appear until the child reaches 2 to 6 years of age.

February 1865 is the only month in recorded history not to have a full moon.

In the last 4,000 years, no new animals have been domesticated.

If the population of China walked past you, 8 abreast, the line would never end because of the rate of reproduction.

Leonardo Da Vinci invented the scissors.

Peanuts are one of the ingredients of dynamite!

Rubber bands last longer when refrigerated.

The average person's left hand does 56% of the typing.

The cruise liner, QE2, moves only six inches for each gallon of diesel that it burns.

The microwave was invented after a researcher walked by a radar tube and a chocolate bar melted in his pocket. (Good thing he did that)

The winter of 1932 was so cold that Niagara Falls froze completely solid.

There are more chickens than people in the world.

    The Great Water Spirit....

When we were down at Callala we would go for rides or walks every night, it was lovely (cept for the mossies and sandflies of course!) Anyway, most of the houses down there have bore water too. We were riding along and Connor veered his bike straight towards this house and up onto their grass. He stopped and said to me in this incredulous voice 'What is THAT!? Mummy!' pointing to this black thing popped up out of the grass and spraying water everywhere!!

    Ummmmmm.......

    It's a sprinkler!!

Three Little Ducks Go Into A Bar..........

"Say, what's your name?" the bartender asked the first duck.

    "Huey," was the reply.

    "How's your day been, Huey?"

"Great. Lovely day. Had a ball. Been in and out of puddles all day. What else could a duck want?" said Huey.

"Oh. That's nice," said the bartender. He turned to the second duck, "Hi,
    and what's your name?"

"Dewey," came the answer from duck number two.

"So how's your day been, Dewey! ?" he asked..

"Great. Lovely day. I've had a ball too. Been in and out of puddles all day myself. What else could a duck want?"

The bartender turned to the third duck and said, "So, you must be Louie?"

"No," she said, batting her eyelashes.

    "My name is Puddles."

Sometimes everything is wrong. Now it's time to sing along
When your day is night alone, (hold on, hold on)
If you feel like letting go, (hold on)
When you think you've had too much of this life, well hang on

'Cause everybody hurts. Take comfort in your friends
Everybody hurts. Don't throw your hand. Oh, no. Don't throw your hand
If you feel like you're alone, no, no, no, you are not alone

If you're on your own in this life, the days and nights are long,
When you think you've had too much of this life to hang on

    Well, everybody hurts sometimes,
Everybody cries. And everybody hurts sometimes
And everybody hurts sometimes. So, hold on, hold on
Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on
Everybody hurts. You are not alone
    (REM Everybody Hurts)

Let's hope 2007 is a much better year!.
